About
"Fierce" before a noun or adjective, is an Irish-ism, whereby denoting total commitment to a subject deriving only exceptional quality or success (that's the closest I can get to making a definition, it is a little more subtle than that). When the weather is good, we would say it's "fierce drying weather", or it’s “fierce mild out”. If it’s stormy? It’s “fierce windy”. Our friend is hilarious and much fun to be around, they're "fierce good craic".
Fierce Gentle means to be committed to the action and behaviour of being gentle to both ourselves and others. If we are going to experience any sense of joy and peace, we need to commit to being gentle. Not just gentle, fierce gentle. This means to be fiercely disciplined, compassionate, kind, and loving, to ourselves and everyone else.
It starts with ourselves. Our world is a mirror of our internal reality. Fierce Gentle is a lifestyle blog for those who are on this path with the intention of helping others as we navigate the biggest challenge of facing ourselves.
Fierce Gentle includes language from Human Design, A Course in Miracles, Eckhart Tolle, Tibetan Buddhism, Native American Ehama, Pilates, Psychology, Neuroscience and Biology.
Fierce Gentle is a lifestyle blog created by Íse and is open to guest posts and authors. If you would like to contribute a story of your experience, please email mail@fiercegentle.org. At the end of every guest post is an opportunity to share your donation page and contact details.
